Recently, a patent invalidation request jointly handled by Beijing Sanju Sunshine Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd. and Beijing Yiju Law Firm on behalf of the invalidation requester, Shanghai Enjei New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., has been concluded.

The National Intellectual Property Administration issued the invalidation review decision No. 582906, declaring all the patent rights of the invention patent No. 201810859589.9, "A Lithium-ion Battery Separator and Its Preparation Method", owned by Hebei Jinli New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., invalid.

Jinli Co. had previously filed a lawsuit against a subsidiary of Enjei Co. for infringing this invention patent and claimed 99 million yuan in damages. With the patent rights declared invalid, the infringement lawsuit has lost its legal basis.

Not long ago, another invention patent of Jinli Co. claiming 50 million yuan in damages from Enjei Co. for battery separators was also declared invalid. This procedure was also handled by our firm.
